Webinar: Business Model Challenges of HESS applications

Earlier this month, a second webinar was organized by the HAVEN EU Project, bringing together four leading Horizon Europe-funded initiatives: HAVEN EU Project, SMHYLES EU, HiHELIOS, and StoRIES Project. Yves-Marie Bourien from HiHELIOS coordinator CEA, briefly presented the HiHELIOS Tilos use cases. Yannis Kalenteridis provided an overview of the battery energy storage (BESS) in South Europe and shared notable application in Greek islands (Tilos, Halki, Astypalea, Crete and Rhodes).

Laslty Arnaud Julliard from Energy Pool focused on identified market challenges (regulatory complexity, penalty risks, operational management, strategic optimization) in the business models of HESS applications.
