Powering the Future Vol3: Hybrid Energy Storage in Action: Creating Real-World Impact

The EU-projects HAVEN, SMHYLES, HiHELIOS, and StoRIES are joining forces for an online event dedicated to hybrid energy storage solutions and their real-world applications.

The "Hybrid Energy Storage in Action" webinar, taking place on 9^th December 2025 (14:00–15:30 CET), will bring together experts from four leading EU initiatives exploring the next generation of hybrid energy storage systems (HESS).

The session will go beyond project presentations to highlight tangible results, pilot experiences, and cross-project synergies. The discussion will focus on how innovative HESS designs are having a real-world impact.

Projects participating in the event:

HAVEN – Designing modular, scalable, and sustainable HESS combining high-energy and high-power modules.

SMHYLES – Demonstrating industrial-scale hybrid systems using reduced critical raw materials and employing eco-friendly aqueous chemistries.

HiHELIOS – Demonstrating high-energy and high-power hybrid battery storage solutions for multiple grid services.

StoRIES – Strengthening research infrastructures and innovation capacity in energy storage across Europe.

The webinar will include a panel discussion with representatives from each project and a live Q&A with participants. A “Certificate of Participation” will be provided to all attending participants.
