ReVolta is a SME based in Brussels, founded in 2018, and specialized in a cloud-based Energy Management System, which creates flexibility from behind the meter devices, such as batteries, photovoltaic plants, and electric vehicles charging stations. Our main product is the Edgenet, an edge device, connected to our cloud platform StoreNet. On top of basic PV storage and peak shaving, StoreNet enables optimized load shifting, day ahead scheduling, intraday tuning, reactive balancing and FCR, through a series of proprietary algorithms like OptiSchedule. The development of predictive SoH degradation ensures that these cycles are taking battery lifetime into account in the financial equation.

Contribution to the project

ReVolta’s contribution is mostly focussed on WP3, on the communication and steering level of the HESS. ReVolta will define the overall control layout for the HiHELIOS technology and each use-case, especially focusing on the communication and interoperability of the different layers. ReVolta will make sure that the different control devices are compatible and that the data needed to perform the different algorithms are gathered and stored on a cloud platform for further analysis and reporting, in a reliable and secure way, using standard and proven protocols.
